APPRENTICE UTILITY PERSON (1st Year) – ($15.84/hour + excellent benefits package) The City of Coffeyville is seeking applications for the position of Apprentice Utility Person (1st year) in Water Treatment. Position duties include but are not limited to: perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance in operation and repair of water treatment plant pumping equipment; operate variety of equipment. Must be able to complete self-study apprentice program and on the job training to achieve Water Treatment Operator certification. Some shift work required. Successful applicant must pass written test, physical exam and drug test. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER The City of Coffeyville, Kansas (pop. 11060) seeks an experienced Electrical Utility Engineer. This position will be responsible to manage, plan, direct and oversee the activities and operations of electric system developments, modifications and improvement.  Determine and administer design, operating and maintenance standards, project schedules and operating procedures for transmission and distribution infrastructure.  Perform engineering studies and analyses of facility, prepare cost estimates and budgets

Essential qualifications will include the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, organizational skills necessary to adhere to schedules and monitor and allocate budget resources, proficiency in AutoCad/GIS, proven project design and management skill.  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least four years of increasingly responsible experience.  Ideal candidate will have electric distribution and generation background
