Community Leadership Program

Leadership Coffeyville Alumni Website

Mission

"The sole purpose of Leadership Coffeyville is to develop leaders who will share with others the leadership skills they have learned and who will assume an active role in  making a difference in our community, their workplace and their family structure."

Training

Seven sessions, including a two-day retreat, will be conducted at locations in the city, county and state.  Session dates for 2007-08 are 9/30 & 10/01 (retreat attendance is mandatory), 10/16, 10/30, 11/13, 12/04, 01/08, 01/29 and the February graduation date to be announced.  Session times begin at 12 noon with lunch included and end at 5 p.m.

Recognized experts, practitioners, teachers, and analysts in business, education, government, quality of life, health care and community services will be utilized as faculty for the seven sessions.

Each session will incorporate an important aspect of performing communities and will allow for participant involvement and discussion. Participants will be given facilitative tools to enhance effectiveness in corporate and community leadership: Appreciative Inquiry—Chaos to Unity—Consensus, Creativity & Collaboration—Visioning—Political Imagination—Public Dialogue—Public Judgment—Celebration & Appreciation—Sustaining Action.

Participants will work in teams on one of several selected projects (or community research) during the five month time frame.

Participants will join an ever expanding resource potential of Coffeyville leaders, and will have the opportunity to shape future Leadership Coffeyville programs.
