Coffeyville Police Department

PATROL

The Patrol Division is made up of three Lieutenants, four Sergeants and 14 Patrol Officers. The City
of Coffeyville is divided into three different "beats" for general patrol functions. In addition to these "beats," the City is further divided into COPS area with one officer assigned to and responsible for Community Policing in each specific area.

The City of Coffeyville has one patrol dog currently on the force, Arco.

Arco was purchased in March, 2001,  from a law enforcement animal facility in Pipe Creek, Texas.  He is partnered with Sergeant Darin Daily and will assist the police force with apprehension of suspected criminals and drug detection.

In addition to COPS, the Department also utilizes a SCRAM (Special Community Reaction and Management) Unit. SCRAM is comprised of officers, investigators and supervisors who must successfully complete an advanced selection process. SCRAM targets criminal activity reported through COPS contact with citizens, as well as focusing on high crime areas and performing special assignments such as saturation patrol in the area of several recent burglaries. When officers are "SCRAMing" they are dedicated to their assignment and are not required to answer routine calls for service.
