INTERSTATE CLASSIC BASKETBALL
TOURNAMENT
Hosted by Field Kindley High, the Interstate Classic
features boys & girls high school basketball at its best. Teams from
Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri, participate in the tournament
held the third weekend in January. Contact the Athletic

4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
This year's celebration will be held on July 4. Activities
include a golf tournament, swimming at the Aquatic Center, lots of
entertainment and a huge fireworks show. For more information,

INTER-STATE
FAIR & RODEO
The largest event of its kind in Southeast Kansas features
top name country music concerts, a demolition derby and four
nights of PRCA rodeo in addition to a wide variety of
livestock and fair exhibits, commercial exhibits, food and
many other activities. Held the second full week of August
in Walter Johnson Park.

DALTON
DEFENDERS DAYS
Relive the October 5, 1892, Dalton Raid through
reenactments held on the plaza, the site of the original
raid. Also enjoy street music, concessions and arts and
crafts. Held the Saturday closest to October 5, contact the
