Stormwater
What is
stormwater?
Stormwater is primarily water that comes from rain, snow and ice that
flows across the ground and pavement. Stormwater seeps into the
ground or drains into storm sewers - the drains you see at street
corners or at low points on the sides of the street. Coffeyville
implemented a stormwater utility
in 2007. Read the
Frequently Asked Questions
page to find out more about stormwater and what
can be done to limit the amount of pollutants coming from residential,
commercial and industrial sources that flow into stormwater runoff and
end up in our creeks, rivers and lakes.
