Community Notice - Trash Service
Effective April 1, 2010, residential trash will be picked up by
Waste Connections. Every residence currently receiving trash service will
receive a new polycart. Waste Connections will begin delivering the new
polycarts on Monday, March 15, however, residents are to continue using
their current polycart through the end of the month.
The current trash service,
Allied Waste, will make their final trash pick ups on March 25, 26, 29, 30
and 31. Shortly after the polycart contents have been dumped, the carts
will be picked up.
The City of Coffeyville will
be sending out a mailing with detailed information about the new trash
service including the expanded bulky item waste service.
Minimum
Standard For Housing and Premises Code
This ordinance was adopted by the
Coffeyville Board of Commissioners on October 24, 2006 to establish
minimum standards for basic equipment and facilities for light,
ventilation and heating, for safety from fire, for the use and location
and amount of space for human occupancy, and for safe and sanitary
maintenance. The ordinances establishes standards concerning
unsightly and blighted buildings and premises, both residential and
non-residential structures; determines the responsibilities of owners,
operators and occupants; and provides for the administration and

Policy For Sounding Tornado Sirens
The storm sirens will be sounded in
Coffeyville if Montgomery County is placed under a tornado warning.
A tornado warning means the weather service radar is showing rotation in
the atmosphere. Additionally, the sirens will be sounded if a
tornado is actually confirmed by a trained weather spotter.
An all-clear siren is not sounded.
This alleviates the confusion for citizens wondering if it is another
warning or an all-clear signal.
