Coffeyville Municipal Light & Power (CMLP) has a long-term power supply contract with the Grand River Dam Authority to purchase electricity to supply the electric demands of our customers as it is more cost effective to purchase power than to generate. During the summer months, however, CMLP generates electricity.

Gas-Fired Steam Generation Capacity:

  • 17.5 MW Elliot Unit – Commissioned 1955
  • 38 MW General Electric Unit – Commissioned 1971
  • 4 MW Black-Start Diesel Generation Capacity – Commissioned 2007

2014 Native Load Peak Demand – 45.9 Megawatts

2014 CRNF Peak Demand – 76.6 Megawatts      

2014 Coffeyville Generation - 14,090.58 Megawatt hours generated  

2013 Electricity Sales - 583,598 Megawatt hours 

2013 Average usage residential meter - 10,384 kWh annually

2014 Electric Customers - 6,239
