Functions

The finance director is responsible for financial management of the City, which includes:

  • Accounting
  • Annual budget preparation
  • Cash flow and department expenditure monitoring
  • Investment
  • Utility meter reading, billing and collections

This department also oversees preparation for the annual audit, risk management and insurance coverage, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Warrant Register/Appropriations

Warrants are approved for payment by the City Commission on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month and placed in the mail upon approval.
