The Electric Department is responsible for management and operation of the Coffeyville Municipal Light and Power Plant (CMLP), which was established in 1901 and is one of the largest municipally owned electric providers in Kansas.
The service territory for CMLP covers over 60 square miles and serves about 6,100 customers. Coffeyville’s electric utility is vital to the City’s financial future and continually strives to meet future electric needs reliably and safely.
