Juvenile Community Corrections Board

Functions

The Juvenile Community Corrections Board participates in the comprehensive planning process that can include purchases of Juvenile correctional services by contract including the temporary detention and confinement of juvenile offenders. This board is comprised of 12  or more members representative of law enforcement, defense, prosecution, judiciary, education, corrections, ethnic minorities, social services and the general public. Three of the positions are appointed by the Coffeyville City Commission.  At least two members of the board shall be representatives of ethnic minorities and no more than 2/3 of the members of the board shall be members of the same gender.
