Statement Regarding Electric Meter Change-Outs
Over the next few months, you may see our Electric & Water Department employees, along with contractors from NexGen Utility Solutions, in your neighborhoods as we change-out and upgrade all of our electric and water meters. This effort is being done to allow the City to provide more accurate and timely meter reads, but to also provide our customers with more detailed, and real-time information regarding their electric and water use.
Personnel performing these meter change-outs will be attempting to make contact with each customer/residence or location prior to change-out of their electric meter. Meter Technicians will identify themselves, having City of Coffeyville issued Contractor ID Badge. Customers are encouraged to put their pets inside during meter change outs, as meter technicians will not perform meter change-outs while dogs are loose in yard.
