1. How do I make a police report?: Contact the Police Department 24 hours a day, seven days a week by phone at 620-252-6160. Dial 9-1-1 for emergencies or at the Police Department, 1206 W. 11th Street.

2. How do I get a police report?: Send a police report request via email. You may also submit a request by phone at 620-252-6167 or fax requests to 620-252-6118. To make a request in person, go to the Police Department at 1206 W. 11th Street. Please allow sufficient time for report to be prepared following the incident. Send an email to determine if the report is available.

3. What is the charge for police reports?: The fee for police reports is $5.00.

4. If I am involved in an accident do I have to make a report?: Yes, a police report is required to be made unless the accident is on private property.

5. I locked my keys in the car; will an officer unlock the vehicle?: No, CPD does not unlock vehicles.

6. Where do I go to get my vehicle inspected?: Vehicles may be inspected by the Police Department at 1206 W. 11th Street. Go to Dispatch and request an inspection. Bring the title to the vehicle and drivers license. The cost for the inspection is $20.

7. If I call 911 from my cell phone, will the call go to Coffeyville?: No, all 911 calls from cell phones will go to the Independence Police Department who will route the call CPD.

8. Where do I go to pay a traffic ticket?: Traffic tickets for the City of Coffeyville can be paid in the Municipal Court Clerk’s Office, located in the Police Department at 1206 W. 11th Street.

9. What are the curfew hours for juveniles?: 11 p.m. on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday until 6 a.m. of the following day; and 12:01 a.m. util 6 a.m. on any Saturday or Sunday.
