Where do I purchase a dog tag?
Dog tags are available at the Coffeyville Animal Shelter and Adoption Center located at 4955 CR 1400. To obtain a dog tag, provide your dog’s current rabies vaccination paperwork. Dog tags coincide with the rabies vaccination - if the dog has a two-year rabies vaccination, they will receive a two-year dog tag at a cost of $8.

What do I do if my dog loses its tag?
Contact the Animal Shelter at 620-252-6060 to obtain a replacement tag at a fee of $2.

Can you have livestock in the City limits?
Yes, provided the property location meets the criteria established by City ordinance. The fee is $35 per year.

A maximum of three dogs is allowed per residence.

No, there are no licensing requirements for cats.

How do I adopt an animal?

Who do I call to report a stray animal?
Call the police dispatch at 620-252-6160 to report stray animals.

Can the City assist me with stray cats and dogs in the neighborhood?
The City has several live traps which can be loaned to individuals to trap the cats or dogs. Contact the Animal Control Officer at 620-252-6160 for details.
